Garam Masala (mixed warming spices) |
Ingredients: |
- ½ cup black cardamom seeds
- 4 - 6 cinnamon sticks (broken into small pieces)
- ¼ cup whole cloves
- ¼ cup black peppercorns
- 1 tsp nutmeg powder

Instructions:

In a small heavy bottomed frying pan roast all the ingredients one at a time on medium heat, stirring constantly until the spices are dry and crisp.
- Grind to a fine powder.
- Store in an airtight jar.
Notes:
- You can keep Garam Masala in the refrigerator for between 6 to 12 months.
